Oreo Truffles

Messy, but oh so good...and easy to make.

All it is a bag of Oreos, a block of cream cheese and a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and crisco.

I'll give you the run down:

Crush entire bad of Oroes.
Mix in cream cheese with hands.
Chill
Form into little balls
Chill
While chilling, create double boiler and melt chocolate chips and crisco

Dip each ball like you would as if you were making buckeyes

In a seperate bowl, combine white chocolate and crisco and melt.

Mix so it is a little ont he thin side. I put the white chocolate in a sandwhich bag and snip off the end and drizzle the whie chocolate over all the truffles.

You'll want to keep these in he fridge since there is cream cheese in them.

Let's Go Racing Boys!

This cake is for Shelley's dad. Nothing special, just carrot cake. But I do have to say I am rather impressed with myself on the NASCAR logo.

Pretty Princess

This was a last minute request cake. I made this cake in a little over a day. Baked it at 5pm., filled and crumbed, 2 hours later and began decorating it soon there after. I decided that at 10pm I needed to go to bed.

I was asked to incorporate a princess crown and I thought, "sure, I can draw one of those" Well, half way thru the workday I had a brilliant idea. Duh, go to the Dollar Store and buy a cheap, cute plastic crown a 5 year old would wear...Only problem, I work till 4:30 and they were coming at 5:30 to pick up the cake. Not to mention that I still have to write Happy Birthday Sara and Melissa. Argh. No worries. I left work early. Thanks Chuck for covering for me....Lets just hope YKW never reads this.
I called this The Chocolate Coma Cake. Can you say "Got Milk" Cuz you are going to need it.

It is dark chocolate cake with a dark chocolate filling. I'm thirty just talking about it.

Happy Birthday Girls!! Or shall I say Princess.

The BIG 5-0

Happy Birthday Teresa!!! Teresa just so happens to be Sara's mom. Ya know, Sara from Sara's treats and travel. You can read more about her on her blog. But enough about Sara.
Teresa also happens to be one of the craziest moms I know. I call this cake the Cherry Blossom. It is a devil food chocolate cake with a cherry filling. I hope it was just what you wanted and I hope you had a wonderful birthday.
