MORE TRUFFLES

I have created the lemon raspberry tuffle and the German Chocolate Cococunt truffle. Both rank very high on the list. I think even better than the Oreo Truffle..which is saying something.

Pretty Princess

Reese PB Cupcake

You will definitely need a gallon of milk for this one.

Classic Yellow cake mix with PB sauce mixed in. Chopped up Reese minis in the middle and finished off with a chocolate peanut butter frosting. My DH says to just call it good and it was seriously the best cupcake he has ever had!

The grasshopper

If you like mint and chocolate, you can not pass this cupcake up.

I started off with a chocolate fudge cake fix and added peppermint.

Fill 1/4 of the bottom of a cupcake liner. Add a mint oreo cookie. Cover cover with more cake batter. Bake. Cool. Frost with vanilla frosting. Grab a HUGE glass of milk and enjoy!

Lemon Surprise Cupcake

I had a little extra batter and I had been cracving a lemon crinkle donut from Tim Hortons. Well, those are seasonal and you guessed it... they are NOT in season. So what is a girl to do? Improvise and create her own. I used the extra cake batter from Jalen's cake and then once the cupcakes cool I injected them with raspberry jam. Just as good if not better than the donut!

Incredible!

Lemon Supreme cake with whipped frosting. Happy Birthday Jalen!

Congrats Amanda!!! All that hard work had paid off! This cake is for you. Half white, half strawberry... so good!!

The Big Day

The Big day is drawing near....baby Wells is almost here.

How horrible, I dont even remember what flavors this cake was. I take that back, I know half was chocolate. This cake was for a dear friend of mine, Joy who was thorwing a baby shower for one her friends. From what I hear, the cake was gone with only about 30 guests in attendance.

Better Late than Never

Happy Birthday Mom (MIL)

Nothing fancy. All that matters is that she loved it... and how could she not. Its features all of her favs. Chocolate, purple and butterflies.

Truffles, Truffles and more Truffles

I am not joking, people can not get enough of these. I spent 4 hours making 11 dozen one Sunday afternoon.

Here are some pictures of some other truffles, aside from the world famous Oreo Truffle.

Whats that?

Oh, where have I been?
I know, I know. But have no fears, I am back. I have quite a bit to update you on and I am booked the entire month of August. So make sure to check back.

Oreo Truffles

Messy, but oh so good...and easy to make.

All it is a bag of Oreos, a block of cream cheese and a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and crisco.

I'll give you the run down:

Crush entire bad of Oroes.
Mix in cream cheese with hands.
Chill
Form into little balls
Chill
While chilling, create double boiler and melt chocolate chips and crisco

Dip each ball like you would as if you were making buckeyes

In a seperate bowl, combine white chocolate and crisco and melt.

Mix so it is a little ont he thin side. I put the white chocolate in a sandwhich bag and snip off the end and drizzle the whie chocolate over all the truffles.

You'll want to keep these in he fridge since there is cream cheese in them.

Let's Go Racing Boys!

This cake is for Shelley's dad. Nothing special, just carrot cake. But I do have to say I am rather impressed with myself on the NASCAR logo.

Pretty Princess

This was a last minute request cake. I made this cake in a little over a day. Baked it at 5pm., filled and crumbed, 2 hours later and began decorating it soon there after. I decided that at 10pm I needed to go to bed.

I was asked to incorporate a princess crown and I thought, "sure, I can draw one of those" Well, half way thru the workday I had a brilliant idea. Duh, go to the Dollar Store and buy a cheap, cute plastic crown a 5 year old would wear...Only problem, I work till 4:30 and they were coming at 5:30 to pick up the cake. Not to mention that I still have to write Happy Birthday Sara and Melissa. Argh. No worries. I left work early. Thanks Chuck for covering for me....Lets just hope YKW never reads this.
I called this The Chocolate Coma Cake. Can you say "Got Milk" Cuz you are going to need it.

It is dark chocolate cake with a dark chocolate filling. I'm thirty just talking about it.

Happy Birthday Girls!! Or shall I say Princess.

The BIG 5-0

Happy Birthday Teresa!!! Teresa just so happens to be Sara's mom. Ya know, Sara from Sara's treats and travel. You can read more about her on her blog. But enough about Sara.
Teresa also happens to be one of the craziest moms I know. I call this cake the Cherry Blossom. It is a devil food chocolate cake with a cherry filling. I hope it was just what you wanted and I hope you had a wonderful birthday.

I was unable to attend, since the DH and I were at a Red Wings game. So I was technically there is spirit with this baby carriage cake. I hear the cake was a hit and and I quote " oh so yummy" The 'buggy" was strawberry cake with vanilla filling and the wheels were yellow cake with vanilla filling.

Love at first bite

AYKM? Who doesnt love warm brownies and ice cold milk.

I dont think I have ever confessed my love of the triple chocolate fudge brownie..especially the chewing corner piece. Touch and you will lose a finger. Whats that? The recipe? Duncan Hines. Follow the instructions on the box. Bake and enjoy. Dont forget the milk.

Upcoming cakes

Be sure to check out the baby carriage and the safari theme baby shower cake in the next few cakes. I am SO excited. The baby carriage is on of my favorites.

let there be cake

Cupcakes, that is. These are/were only for my DH. The poor guy sit here thru cake after cake after cake and do you think he gets any cake? Nope. So of course I finally felt bad for him and made him his very own batch of strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

Better late than never...right?

Here is the cake I made for my mom for Easter. She just so happen to give up sweets for Lent and my dad asked me to make a cake for her. What a better way than to decorate it as an Easter Basket. It is a Devil Foods Chocolate cake with Coconut pecan filling. Y-U-M!! I wish I had a picture of the inside. Speaking of the inside, the little plastic eggs are filled with Hershey Dark Chocolate eggs. Nothing says Happy Easter like a chocolate Coma.

I hope she enjoyed it.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Sponge Bob Square Pants!

You don't really get the full affect of this cake without the figurines. I wasnt able to close the box with SBSP and Patrick on the top....alas, you get the idea.

This is a full sheet cake. Half yellow and the other half marble. I frosted it in white frosting and sprayed it blue. The bottomis colored sugar. I think it took about 4 hours to complete. So fun!

The Construction worker

I had so much fun with this cake. It was for Brit's brothers big 1-8. He is a student at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. I used orange food coloring to color the cake, which was totally cool. All in all, I think it took 2 hours to decorate this cake.

My First Post

Nothing fancy. Just wanted to get my toes wet.
I will upload some pictures tonight of the cakes I made over the weekend.
So make sure to check back!
